The Calais School is a proud member of The Alliance of Private Special Education Schools of North Jersey. Each year, The Alliance hosts a free conference and resource fair to help families throughout north and central New Jersey learn more about services and supports, and learn to be more effective advocates. This year’s event, held at The College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township, New Jersey, was co-hosted by Regional Family Support Planning Council #1.

Parents and educators in attendance gained access to tools and tips needed to stay informed, engaged and empowered. Throughout the event we connected with many wonderful families, students, schools and other vendors. A highlight for The Calais School was watching former student Anthony O., 2019 graduate of Morristown High School, receive The Connections for The Future scholarship. Anthony will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the fall of 2019. We wish him all the best on his future endeavors!
