Part-time Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)
The role of this person is to develop, implement and supervise the delivery of academic programs and related services for classified students in order to achieve excellence in education.
This person will supervise, implement and evaluate all academic, and Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs; provide supervision to staff (if Supervisor certification is possessed); participate in the implementation of the school’s professional development plan; Supervise the implementation of the IEP’s of each student; serve as the chairperson and school representative at annual reviews & IEP meetings; complete testing procedures for instructional purposes when deemed appropriate; participate in planning and implementing class rosters and scheduling; coordinate & administer all standardized testing.

Nature and scope of job: Provides a full range of social work services to link the home and school. Responsibilities include assessing the needs of students, providing case management services, crisis management and intervention, monitoring student performance, consulting with instructional staff to assist them in providing strategies for students’ social and personal growth, and coordinating services for and communications with student families and other social service resources.

Part-time Career & Technical Teacher (CTE) of Graphic Design
This is a 25 hour per week, part-time position. Applicant will be able to provide Digital Arts education to high school students. Under the direction of the Calais Administrative team, the Digital Arts Instructor will create and lead daily lessons and activities. The Instructor will demonstrate a genuine care about students and a sincere belief that each student’s individual talents can be developed. Outside of the regular in class days, it is highly desirable that the instructor facilitates opportunities for students to showcase their skills, participate in contests, competitions, scholarship opportunities, regional arts programs and other outside the class events.

We are seeking a Part-Time School Bus Driver to drive our high school students to and from their off-site work assignments that are located in the Whippany area. General hours are 8:50am-12:00pm 4 days/week.
Qualified candidates MUST possess an up to date Class “B” CDL and clean driving record.
Candidates will be fingerprinted and background checked by the NJDOE. The qualified candidate will have prior bus driving experience and speak fluent English.

Required licenses or certifications:
We are seeking a qualified Instructional Paraprofessional to work with special education students.
*Assist classroom teacher in performing specific duties as assigned or undertaking specialized tasks to achieve and enhance instructional and behavioral objectives.
*Monitor students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
*Work with individuals, small groups, or large groups as assigned by the teacher.
*Assist with behavior modification as assigned by teacher.
The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and hold a NJ Substitute Teacher Certification (or teaching certification). If candidates do not possess a substitute certification, they must be willing to become certified. Experience working with learning disabled or special education students is strongly preferred.
Candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, caring and patient and be sensitive to the needs of special education children. This person must be flexible and willing to work different assignments on a daily basis (as a one to one aide, paraprofessional or job coach outside the building). We are looking for someone able to commit for the 2016-2017 school year.
