Animal Assisted Interventions at The Calais School

While some schools utilize dogs as a calming presence, The Calais School’s Animal Assisted Interventions Program was developed to meet the complex and varying needs of children with special needs. Since 2013, The Calais School has been home to a team of dogs and handlers that provide Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) to help students reach behavioral and therapeutic goals.
